A good online store is a quintessential stop to discover a galaxy of brands and products to suit every requirement. Hence, it is very essential and beneficial to find a genuine, reliable and trustworthy online store to buy Zotz products. Most people would love to find all their essential products in one location, whenever they choose to buy anything. Your hints and tips from this thread have all been noted too Steve and there's definitely some intriguing things I might like to try.If you are looking for all the best international brands and genuine quality global products, your search ends here. The ability to change step and angle size helps but I just love that atmosphere I've spent a few happy afternoons recently with big mugs of coffee, Sphinx Jinx and a pad and pen for map creating. I never thought about atmosphere, the restrictions of the 3D or making a game within those restrictions like the very best Freescape games. Of course, Time Crystal just doesn't work on a 64, the spaces are too big so it takes too long to move anywhere, there are too many objects so loads disappear (the disappearing staircases weren't designed that way but were a happy mistake) and it moves TOO slow. (I've seen people review them playing them that way and really trashing them, but that's like watching a horror movie at 10x speed and criticising it for not having any suspense or shocks ) ![]() They might move smoother but the atmosphere is gone. I love the atmosphere in games such as Sphinx Jinx, Castle Master and Driller and playing them all sped up just completely ruins them for me. While it's good to see the YouTube video of The Time Crystal to refresh my memory of the game (and all the horrible colour clash decisions I made lol) any game I create will be made with playing on the 64 at normal speed in mind. I could've also gone for the big box version with the VHS like I did a few years ago the last time I had a 64, but this was the version I bought as a teen and I just really wanted it back I'm sure anything you make will be well received by the community - certainly youtube retro games are regularly creating video playthroughs of 3D Construction Kit games.ĭifficult to find a disk version, plus I'm rather fond of the cassette version in a sentimental way. I don't know of anywhere where this game or its datafile can be downloaded, but after contacting Gansteeth I'm hoping Stuart will be hosting it on his unofficial .uk soon. So I'm fairly stoked to see this new game emerge. I don't care if it was created as a joke game - this chap Gansteeth has gone to all the trouble of learning the 3D Constuction Kit he must have endured the constant swapping between the separately loaded object editor and condition editor, mastered the Freescape Command Language (FCL) in order to provide the capability to shoot enemies and go though doors, which would have required him to keep track of the object numbers of the various doors and enemies - a requirement that is not obvious from the outset when creating 3D Construction Kit games! I'm counting this as a proper 3D Construction Kit game. ![]() ![]() It can be viewed at this entertaining youtube video: It's called Lukozer Wars 3D and was written by Gansteeth in 2018. I was browsing youtube and was amazed to see that a new C64 3D Construction Kit game emerged. The Time Crystal also made back in the 90's, by the talented Philip Boyce who frequents this very forum.Ĭhances are, unless you are Marcel or Philip, you have never seen these games completed - 3D Construction Kit games always tended to be difficult to complete. The game text was originally in German, but I soon sorted that out with the 3D Construction Kit editor and Google Translate. Unfortunately my laptop is not particularly fast, only hitting speeds of 600% to 1200%, but it was a fairly smooth ride - basically speeds that I always dreamed of all those years ago when I was using the 3D Construction Kit on my very own C64.Ĭyborg 2900, created by Marcel Smuz, apparently was a free game with a German magazine called 64'er in 1997. I first loaded both games into the 3D Construction Kit editor and reduced the movement and turn values to get a smoother experience using fast emulation. I was feeling down and needed my fix of 3D Construction Kit, so I've created these two video completing the two games of Cyborg 2900 and The Time Crystal:
